Dec. 17, 2012: Results presented at 35th Annual Meeting of the Molecular Biology Society.

The 35th Annual Meeting of the Molecular Biology Society was held at Marinemesse Fukuoka, the Fukuoka International Congress Center, from December 11 to 14, 2012. The Koichi Tanaka Laboratory of Advanced Science and Technology made a presentation at the meeting.
The detection of post-translational modification (PTM) is one of the major topics in protein research. The configuration of a database of phosphorylation sites and achieving twenty times higher speed and reliability were announced at last year’s meeting.
The presentation at this year’s annual meeting announced the expansion of the PTM database to acetylation, methylation, amidation, and hydroxylation; configuration of a variant and isoform database; and the open release of the ProteoAnalysis website for database searches.
