Jun. 4, 2012: [Materials Provided] Results presented at the American Thoracic Society ATS2012 (May 18 to 23).

A report was made on methods for detecting and analyzing micro RNA molecules using MALDI-MS at the American Thoracic Society ATS2012 Conference (May 18 to 23, 2012, in San Francisco).
Micro RNA is small nucleic acid molecule with a base length of about 20. In recent years, it has been reported that their effects are relevant to a variety of diseases. The results of this research will likely prove useful in the future with respect to the measurement of nucleic acid molecules themselves as bio markers, as well as the observation of metabolism of pharmaceutical agents within the body utilizing the effects of micro RNA.
