Nov. 8, 2011: [Press Release] Development of technological breakthrough that will lead to early diagnosis of disease from one drop of blood

 At the Koichi Tanaka Laboratory of Advanced Science and Technology, collaborative research is in progress with core researcher Daniel J. Capon, who has been involved in a number of antibody drug development research projects. Recently, a “flexible antibody” that increases the antibody-antigen binding strength by more than 100 times has been successfully developed. The paper will be published in the Japan Academy journal “Proceedings of the Japan Academy, Series B” (published in the online version dated Nov. 11, 2011).

 A press release was given beforehand to many news organizations in the briefing room at the Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology.
