Mar. 16, 2012: A press tour by the Japan Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association (JPMA) held at Kyoto University.

On March 7, a press tour by the Japan Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association (JPMA) was held at Kyoto University. About 30 people attended, including members of the press and personnel from JPMA.
During the tour of the facilities, the group visited the Clinical Research Center for Medical Equipment Development, one of the cooperative research institutions under the FIRST Program. The main analytical instruments with respect to the FIRST Program were introduced, including a next generation mass spectrometer (MALDI-DIT-TOF) developed by Shimadzu and operating at Kyoto University since October of last year.
