The FIRST Science Forum “Dream: Who will make the unknown world?” that was held by JST on March 13, 2011, featured Koichi Tanaka, who gave a lecture and had a conversation with the audience, which consisted mainly of high school students. This took place just 2 days after the Great East Japan Earthquake, and Tanaka conveyed the message which was intended for a wider audience, that Japan can do many things.
