Our core researcher, Koichi Tanaka, was a keynote speaker on September 6 at the Symposium “Science and Technology Exchange to Pave the Way to Toyama’s Future,” hosted by Toyama Prefecture. Around 100 industry and university representatives attended the symposium and exchanged opinions.
In his lecture, Mr. Tanaka talked about the next-generation mass spectrometer that is being developed in the FIRST research program. He mentioned that it will offer previously unheard-of analysis of the mechanisms of the human body to make a significant contribution to the diagnostics and treatment of cancer and Alzheimer’s disease.
Some local news papers and TV stations covered this symposium.
