Oct. 18, 2012: Koichi Tanaka lectured at Tohoku University as part of interdisciplinary research program.

Core researcher and General Manager Koichi Tanaka, who is also a visiting professor at Tohoku University, spoke again this year at the Tohoku University Interdisciplinary Research Joint Lecture.
The subject of his address was as last year, “What Environment Enables Interdisciplinary Research?—An Example from Mass Spectrometry Development.” Recent topics were also added, related for example to the winning of the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine. On this occasion, the lecture was open to students from other departments, and so more than 300 students attended. The questions were sincere and plentiful, and so the program was extended by 40 minutes, and a lively question and answer session ensued.
