Jan. 10, 2012: [Materials Provided] Results of this project presented at the Structural Life Science Symposium.

 On January 9, the Science Council of Japan held the symposium “Aiming Toward the Development of Structural Life Science Through the Advanced Interdisciplinary Collaboration.” Heading this project, entitled “Contributing to the Fusion of Different Fields Through the Development of Mass Spectrometry Systems,” Koichi Tanaka introduced progress made in this project and the recent developments in structural life science using mass spectrometry, while at the same time stressing the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration.
 A panel discussion including 300 participants mainly consisting of experts was held, and a lively exchange of opinions took place, which included contributions from the audience.
